Sana Araw-Araw Birthday Ko!

I have learned a lot of things, seen different places, tasted a lot of food, gained achievements, awards and recognitions, had failures and rejections, joined different companies, gained friends and enemies, learned my lessons and learned from other's mistakes, earned wisdom and gained knowledge, been weak, depressed and sad, and grew stronger and smarter, stood up and stepped up, appreciated every opportunity and celebrated successes... Thank you everyone for being part of it. It has been a great 30 years and i look forward for more years to spend with you. Published with Blogger-droid v2.0.9

Love Your Woman

Ang galing ng lalaking nagsulat nito: I saw this from Facebook and I wanted everyone to read this and hopefully all men would understand and appreciate women.

Why Jaywalking?

Why is crossing the street in the wrong place called "jaywalking"? Published with Blogger-droid v2.0.6 In the early 1900s, the word "jay" was slang in the U.S. for a hick, rube, or simpleton -- in other words, a person inexperienced in the ways of the bright lights in the big city. Wordsmiths believe the term "jaywalking" (or "J-walking") originated when cars were relatively new but gaining popularity in cities like Boston and New York. A jaywalker was a newcomer to the city, green to the ways of those modern traffic signals that told folks when they could safely cross the road. The complete Oxford English Dictionary traces the origin of the word to early 20th-century Boston, where sophisticated city folk with little tolerance for rural folk coined the term. In those days, jaywalkers would have encountered Model T's tooling along at the break-neck speed of 20 mph. Today's urban lawbreakers face greater risks, with sports cars, SUVs, ...

Delayed Reaction

On August 7, 2012, Philippine Government declared cancellation of work on public and private organization including BPOs and Call Center. I am not sure if I'll be happy or not with the news, but with my over 7 years of stint in the industry, and tons of typhoons this country has experienced, this is the first time that the government is interfering with BPOs and Call Center's management. I don't know exactly if they are cognizant how we work and how the operations work here but deciding and interfering just like that and making such comments "that people in the call centers don't care about their people" and "that they look at their people as waterproof", WE DON'T. We definitely care for our people, and just like you, we prioritize their safety and we have the onus on whatever happens in this situation, we are still accountable. MORE THAN GREED: BPOs/ Call Centers cannot simply shut down operations at times like this. Not because w...

Let's Pray!

They say this is a rare phenomenon and has not happened in years. They call it 'syam-syam', or literally 9 days and 9 nights of prolonged rains, but it has been raining for over 9 days, 11 to be exact and they are still expecting to rain until end of this week. It's just too bad especially to our brothers and sisters whom will have to recover and start all over. I know this is one of His challenges  and surely we can pass. Pray for our people's strength and we may continue to come up into You and admit we are weak and only through You we are saved. Pray for everyone's safety and for the rain to stop. #PrayForThePhilippines Published with Blogger-droid v2.0.6

Keep the faith!

Keep the faith! Our troubles should not diminish our faith or disillusion us. We should realize that there is a purpose in our suffering. Problems and human limitations have several benefits: (1) they remind us of Christ's suffering for us; (2) they keep us from pride; (3) they cause us to look beyond this brief life; (4) they prove our faith to others; and (5) they give God the opportunity to demonstrate his power. See your troubles as opportunities! Published with Blogger-droid v2.0.6

Responding to Interpersonal Conflict

I am rebuked lately on humility and pride. All the while I thought that I have been humbled by God's wisdom and His grace. Because (I thought) I was so careful with how I speak to others, how I deal with people and how I respond to questions and concerns, (I thought) I will never have any issues with anyone. I was wrong. Recently in the office, I was asked by my boss to transition to another program. The program was a little tenured and have been with our company for over 2 years now. I was asked to speak to the current manager to understand the situation of the program - why are they failing, what help do they need, what's the current scenario, etc. I did that. I thought, I had a good conversation with the current manager but never did I realized, I made her offended and felt so insecure about me and my intent. I won't elaborate anymore but the situation saddens me that I made someone felt so bad and angry at me. I wasn't expecting that. I have been thinking...

Keys to Patience

“The keys to patience are acceptance and faith. Accept things as they are, and look realistically at the world around you. Have faith in yourself and in the direction you have chosen.” - Ralph Marston

Fear and Forgiveness

It's my parent's 30th anniversary and our Brian's christening on Saturday where in spite busy schedule preparing everything for the visitors, i still think of Jacob.  I packed Beef Tapa and Pancit for him and even thinking of bringing him Salad for dessert.  We didn't have a good conversation after hours of waiting for him then he finally said we're not meeting up because he's not in the mood and he wants to stay at home and watch Initial D.  Then all of my insecurities and paranoia came out. I started thinking, just like what happened with Jeff, very similar indeed. He started confirming why he's sticking with me. He reminded me to stop counting the days and enjoy that we're together. I think his way of showing me that he likes me is seeing me everyday for dinner. Though i heard him said, "ano bang napapala ko pag pumupunta ko sayo? Kahit pagod ako nagpupunta pa din ako. Dapat maapreciate mo yun." I am not sure what that means but i just w...

God's Timing is Always Perfect (Part 2)

God is in control of Time. Act 1:7 And He said to them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father has put in His own authority. God makes everything happen at the right time . Ecc 3:11 God makes everything happen at the right time. Yet none of us can ever fully understand all he has done, and he puts questions in our minds about the past and the future. (CEV) Ecc 3:11 He has made everything beautiful in His time; also He has set eternity in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God makes from the beginning to the end. (MKJV) God has set a time and a place for everything . Ecc 3:17 So I told myself that God has set a time and a place for everything. He will judge everyone, both the wicked and the good. A time and season for everything . Ecc 3:1 To every thing there is a season, and a time for every purpose under the heavens: Ecc 3:2 a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pull up what i...
