God is Love, Give Love

Even Michael Jackson believes that

No greater gift is there than love

What the world needs is love

Yes the world needs your love

Why don't you give love on Christmas day

This season, we must realize that it is not about the gifts and presents that we will give or receive. It is not how much you will get or how much you will spend. It is not how beautiful or expensive your clothes are or extravagant your Noche Buena is.

We have to think and understand, "Why Christmas?"

Yeah, have you ever thought about it? Why Christmas, really?
Christmas is a celebration of Love, God's love for us.
He saved us from evil
and He saved us from the sins.
He appeared to us to show how much God loves us.

Wouldn't you like to celebrate if you have received such gift?
Wouldn't you like to inform everyone how blessed and happy you are because of that?
You know that everything that He does for YOU and ME is motivated by His LOVE for US.

And in 1 John 4:10 (New International Version) says
This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.

Yes indeed that God has shown the greatest demonstration of an unconditional love
when He sent His own son to save us from our sins.

We can start giving love.
We can have an Eros-type of love were romance is in the air.
We can have a Phileo-type of love were a friendly, brotherly love kicks in.
Or a benevolent, generous kind of love, Agape.

Whatever that is, remember,
Love can only be known unless you take action.

PRAYER

I find this picture so interesting. This was taken at the plane when Eman and PJ are on their way to Cebu. Let me share with you one scripture that i have read today from Jon Orana of www.topbibleverses.com and helped me understand a lot of things. Psalm 17:5 Hold up my goings in thy paths, that my footsteps slip not. Burt had worked in high-rise construction all his life. Everyday he would walk the girders high above the ground with apparent ease. In his lifetime he had seen a number of men plunge from the girders due to a mere moment of carelessness. As for himself, he knew he had been lucky. Each morning he began work only after saying a short prayer, asking the Lord to watch his movements through the day, keeping him safe from any mishap. Though most of us never do anything as dangerous or risky as high-rise construction, we do stand in d...
