Friend or Lover?

A friend asked me, "kung papiliin ka, your friend or your lover, which one would you choose?"

I said, Friend.

"Why?"

Madami nakong nasirang friendship dahil sa pagpili ng relationship before. I am blessed with true friends na anjan pa dn sila. (Of course, you're friend should be supportive whatever your decision is, mahumaling ka man sa lover mo or what. Ewan, case- to-case basis. There should be a reason why you need to come up with a decision and why do you have to choose between them. Does your lover hates your friend or vice versa? You can probably work from there and make them friends. Eh bakit naman kasi kelangang mamili diba?)

"How would you feel if your friend chose her lover over you?"

Ok lang, choice nya yun eh. I'll miss the old times though. (At first malulungkot ka syempre but later you'll realize the ramifications of her decisions)Ako, hanggang ngayon kinakamusta ko pa dn sya, hoping that we'll still patch things up.

"Was she wrong if she chose you instead over her lover?"

No, she's not. That simply means that she values your friendship more than her lover. Meaning she believes in you, treasure you and trust you.

"Would it change your opinion if she's your subordinate and a friend for 2 yrs and you treated each other as sisters then she chose the guy over you?"

Regardless of the position. Same answer. She's still my friend. If she wants her guy then that's her choice. I'm just here.

Well, that's life. It's just normal, one of the many instances of life's challenges that you will encounter.ü

Be Grateful

Maybe God wants us to meet a few wrong people before meeting the right one so that when we finally meet the right person, we will know how to be grateful for that gift. When the door of happiness closes, another opens, but often times we look so long at the closed door that we don't see the one which has been opened for us. The best kind of friend is the kind you can sit on a porch and swing with, never say a word, and then walk away feeling like it was the best conversation you've ever had. It's true that we don't know what we've got until we lose it, but it's also true that we don't know what we've been missing until it arrives. Don't go for looks; they can deceive. Don't go for wealth; even that fades away. Go for someone who makes you smile because it takes only a smile to make a dark day seem bright. Find the one that makes your heart smile. May you have enough happiness to make you sweet, enough trails to make you strong, enough sorrow to k...

Why Jaywalking?

Why is crossing the street in the wrong place called "jaywalking"? Published with Blogger-droid v2.0.6 In the early 1900s, the word "jay" was slang in the U.S. for a hick, rube, or simpleton -- in other words, a person inexperienced in the ways of the bright lights in the big city. Wordsmiths believe the term "jaywalking" (or "J-walking") originated when cars were relatively new but gaining popularity in cities like Boston and New York. A jaywalker was a newcomer to the city, green to the ways of those modern traffic signals that told folks when they could safely cross the road. The complete Oxford English Dictionary traces the origin of the word to early 20th-century Boston, where sophisticated city folk with little tolerance for rural folk coined the term. In those days, jaywalkers would have encountered Model T's tooling along at the break-neck speed of 20 mph. Today's urban lawbreakers face greater risks, with sports cars, SUVs, ...
